Diode Medical Grade Laser
Medical Grade Diode laser is the painless and very fast approach to hair removal. During a laser hair removal treatment, light passes through the skin and is absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft, this absorption raises the temperature of the hair follicle and thermally destroys the cells responsible for regrowth.
808nm wavelength penetrates deep into the skin, it is a very fast way to cover larger areas like the back, legs, arms, etc. It is also great for Brazilian areas. A half hour appointment is all that's needed, even for legs.
The energy travels harmlessly through the epidermis until it strikes the hair follicle (hence why shaving pre treatment is essential not waxing)
The diode not only targets dark hair but with extra treatment will also be effective on finer lighter hair as opposed to other methods available. In order to minimize discomfort an efficient skin cooling system (sapphire contact cooling tip) is used to chill the skin before, during and after the treatment. The diode is the best overall laser for all skin types and is safe to use on dark skins where IPL isn't as good.
The hair will usually fall out in the treated area within 1 to 3 weeks following the treatment.
Avoid ultra violet exposure prior to treatment and while treatments are being had, always apply at least an SPF30 sunscreen.

Pre-treatment
- No use of depilatory creams or waxing in the few days prior to the treatment.

Post Treatment Care

About E-Light
Who can be treated?
Provided that there are no contra-indications, clients who have unwanted hair, or want to improve their skin, can be treated regardless of their hair or skin colour.
Are there any secondary effects?
In certain cases, there may be redness in the treated area, local oedema or peri-follicular papulae (goose bumps). These effects disappear several hours after the treatment. However, in the majority of cases, there are no visible secondary effects. In very rare cases, if the precautions are not respected, there may be transitory modifications to the pigmentation (hypo or hyper pigmentation).
How long does the treatment take?
First a full consultation plus a initial test patch must be performed to ensure that no unwanted side effects occur. The time required to undertake a complete treatment is very short. Most treatments will take approximately 15-30 mins.
What precautions must be taken?
Clients are recommended to avoid sun exposure for four weeks prior to treatment. Following the treatment the skin may be sensitive to UV light and it is advised that the area treated should be kept covered or a high factor sunscreen be used for 4 months.

What types of conditions can be treated?
There are three target problem areas that IPL skin treatment can treat.

How many treatments are needed?
Between 3 to 8 treatments are recommended, three to eight weeks apart. Generally sun damage can be resolved in just a few visits whilst vascular lesions and wrinkle reduction show significant results following three to six applications.
